L'objectif photographique liens le sujet à l'auditoire imaginé. Lorsque le visage d'un portrait est enlevé, les actes d'exhibitionnisme et d'introversion par le sujet recentrent l'attention vers la présence du corps et de l'identité. Les visages seront grattés, barbouillés, couverts, ou masqués. DEFACED aborde le thème des médias sociaux en utilisant la photographie, le film et la performance.
The lens links the subject to the imagined audience. When the face in portraiture is removed, the subject's acts of exhibitionism and introversion redirect attention to the presence of body and identity. Faces will be scratched out, drawn on, covered up, or otherwise obscured. Through photography, film, and performance, DEFACED deals with issues of social media.
