Le travail minutieux de Mackenzie avec les formes, la composition et la couleur fait émerger de ses toiles des univers magnifiques et captivants.
Dominated by blue, these paintings represent natural phenomena from galactic skies to the Great North, and from our synaptic connections to our vast oceans. Characteristic of Mackenzie’s oeuvre, it is from her meticulous working with form, composition and colour that emerges a mesmerizing and magnificent universe.
Landon Mackenzie received her Masters of Fine Arts from Concordia University. She won First Prize for her Lost River Series at the Third Biennale of Painting and recently her work Vancouver as the Centre of the World was included in the Cultural Olympiad in Vancouver. Her work is in numerous collections including that of the National Gallery of Canada, the Art Gallery of Ontario and the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.
