english follows ~ Le corpus de l’exposition fait suite à une réflexion photographique développée autour du potentiel narratif de la lumière locale. L’artiste entend par « locale » une lumière trouvée, in situ, chargée d’affects locaux. Prises au Canada et à l'étranger, ces nouvelles images mettent en scène le corps dans sa relation étroite aux lieux photographiés mais surtout voient leur tissu narratif pris en charge par la spécificité de la lumière naturelle.
The collection of works in the exhibition was born from a photographic study of the narrative potential of native light. By “native”, the artist means a light that is discovered in situ, and charged with regional interest. The images were shot in Canada and abroad and depict the body in its close relationship to the locations photographed but mostly reveal how their narrative fabric is composed by the particularities of natural light.
