* english follows ~ MÉTAMORPHOSE : ce mot d’origine très ancienne a d’abord surgi au cœur de la pensée antique soucieuse de relier l’homme à la pensée cosmique. Il caractérise plus que tout autre l’immense chantier de transformations que subissent les sociétés d’aujourd’hui et ce n’est pas sans raison que l’on parle présentement d’un changement de paradigme pour signaler ce que certains voient comme une mutation accélérée de la civilisation humaine. Entre l’univers qui change, qui bouge, qui tremble, qui brille, et l’œuvre qui parle, qui suggère, qui touche, qui trouble, l’artiste incarne l’idée même du passage et du transfert et de ce fait, celle de la métamorphose.

The word METAMORPHOSIS, of ancient origin, characterizes more than any other the huge array of transformations societies are undergoing today. Some even speak of a change of paradigm, signifying by that a transformation of human civilization itself. Between the changing, moving, trembling, scintillating world and the artwork that speaks, suggests, touches, and troubles, the artist embodies the very idea of passage and transformation. Here, the present can grow deep roots, find sustenance in millennial forces.
