This series of paintings explore the abstract qualities of formal painting with text. Using small familiar phrases that are open-ended and seem to be part of a conversation, the text seems to speak to, with or about the painting. The pairing of the text to the painting is done intuitively, not with a specific message but with the intention of having connections created by the viewer.
